Newmarket Holidays has substantially increased the size of its UK touring programme following ‘huge’ demand for UK and Ireland-based trips.

The escorted touring specialist, which has run tours in UK and Ireland for 37 years, has added eight exclusive tours to its existing portfolio.

Previously it offered 12 tours, including its Scottish Highlands Railways tour which was the first tour to run after the start of the March lockdown.

New tours include a four-night Liverpool – Beatles & Merseybeat tour, from £305, which offers a Beatles-theme musical adventure in the city; a five-day Kent -Castles, Gardens and Vineyards tour from £599 which explores the country’s Cinque Ports and castles and links to James Bond; and a five-day a five-day Scottish Highland Railways from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh from £589.

There are included and optional excursions so clients can tailor tours to their own interests. Prices include accommodation, transport and a tour manager.

In addition, the operator has three new Andre Rieu concerts with attached tours on sale for Belfast, Dublin and Glasgow.

Richard Forde, trade sales manager, said: “Newmarket has always had a strong presence with tours to the UK and Ireland.

“Reacting to customer demand and changing market conditions, we are delighted to expand our range, enabling agents to offer their customers a wider choice.

“All of these new holidays are available online now and will feature in our new winter brochure, which is coming out very soon.”
