Titan Travel moves to trust account model

Titan Travel has moved to a trust accounting model with the CAA, the operator has confirmed.

The move means money from new and existing flight-inclusive bookings will be held in a trust until a customer has returned from holiday. Sister brand Saga Holidays confirmed it had made the same move on Monday.

Titan’s UK short breaks and no-fly cruises will not be covered by the scheme, but will continue to be Abta-protected.

Andy Squirrell, Titan managing director, said: “Whilst customer money has always been 100% secure with Titan, moving to trust accounting will provide agents and their clients with additional financial reassurance when booking a holiday with us.

“This is another example of how we are constantly reviewing our operations and implementing new policies where necessary to help provide agents and their clients with the very best service.

“We hope this will provide everyone with assurance that booking with Titan is booking with confidence, knowing that our tours, finances, and the safety and wellbeing of all our travellers are protected every way possible.”
