Princess pushes ‘closer to home’ cruises

Princess Cruises is pushing ‘closer to home’ sailings in 2021 with a British Isles sale starting on Wednesday (July 29).

Rates lead in at £649 per person for an eight-night sailing with a £50 discount and £799 for 12 nights with a £200 discount. They are available to book until August 10.

The deals apply to 15 departures from Southampton by 3,080-passenger Crown Princess between April and October next year.

The eight-night itinerary includes calls in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the Channel Islands.

The longer duration sailings add Northern Ireland and Le Havre in France.

Crown Princess features wearable OceanMedallion technology,  including speedier check-in, touchless cabin entry, the ability to order drinks, food and retail items remotely while on board and a family and friends locator.

MedallionNet high-speed Wi-Fi is also available on the ship.

The offers follow the collapse of Cruise and Maritime Voyages, which had been promoting a series of round UK cruises for 2021.

Princess Cruises’ UK and Europe vice president Tony Roberts said: “We are thrilled to offer our guests some great value deals for those seeking a fantastic holiday option a little closer to home.”
