Titan Travel to make redundancies after company review

Titan Travel has made “a number” of staff redundant following a company review.

The tour operator said the shake-up aimed to improve business efficiencies as it battles the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on business.

The company said it could not comment on the exact number of staff leaving  but said the restructure had affected employees across the business.

Managing director Andy Squirrell said: “Following a review of our structure as part of ongoing efforts to improve efficiency, a number of our colleagues will unfortunately be leaving Titan.”

He paid tribute to the efforts of staff during the Covid-19 crisis.

“The way the Titan team has pulled together, adapted to new circumstances, shown patience and understanding, and continued to give their all during the pandemic has made me immensely proud to lead this business and the incredible people that underpin it,” Squirrell said.

“We are a close knit team and will all miss our colleagues who are leaving the business. I would like to thank them for their valuable contribution and wish them all the best for the future.”
