Two industry veterans have teamed up to form a business aimed at helping travel agents sell cruises.

Former AmaWaterways UK boss Stuart Perl and ex-Crystal Cruises international sales and marketing director Philip Ordever have created The Cruise Strategy Company.

The firm has been established as an independent business dedicated to supporting travel companies increase their profitability.

Posting on LinkedIn, Ordever said: “We work in partnership with our clients, developing a range of bespoke strategies to identify their potential cruise customers, to confidently engage with them and ultimately to sell them the right cruise holiday.

“With our passion for cruise, we are committed to advancing the growth of this dynamic sector through our unique support and training strategies.”

Initial activity has started with the production of the first in a series of podcasts on the cruise industry.

Perl’s career includes stints as marketing director for Cunard Line, managing director for Peter Deilmann River & Ocean Cruises and running his own company as UK representative for river cruise lines selling groups and charters through the UK travel trade.

Ordever has also held senior roles at Silversea Cruises and First Choice.
