Emerald Waterways adds Deposit Protection Plan

Emerald Waterways has unveiled a new Deposit Protection Plan as it launches its second edition 2021 brochure.

The river line’s Deposit Protection Plan allows guests to change travel dates or itinerary up to 90 days before departure, when booked by July 31, 2020.

New additions in the updated range include a trip to Dracula Bra Castle in Transylvania as part of a four-night cruise-and-stay extension in Romania; and a three-night extension in Istanbul, Turkey.

Both can be added to Emerald Waterways’ nine-day Enchantment of Eastern Europe sailing, which takes in Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria.

The small-ship operator has introduced a selection of four-night Christmas Time sailings on the Rhine, Rhône and Danube, visiting some of Europe’s festive markets and spa towns including, Freiburg, Strasbourg, Baden-Baden, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest.

A Southern France itinerary features a guided tour of Avignon with a visit to the medieval Palace of the Popes and festive market; a visit to an olive mill in Tarascon; a tour of Arles, and a traditional Provencal dinner.

Across the programme, Emerald Waterways has added “extra value” to its existing itineraries, such as new shore excursions such as bike tours, guided hikes and tastings.

David Winterton, Emerald Cruises director of global brand & marketing, said: “Our second-edition brochure for 2021 has allowed us to tweak our offering to ensure our product is really hitting the spot.

“The world may have changed, however, Emerald Waterways’ commitment to our guests, the guest experience and their health, safety and wellbeing remains our key priority. Our global management team is working closely with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and government health agencies around the world to continue to provide each and every guest with the uttermost confidence while on board with us.

“We are very lucky to have guests who are focused on making the very most of their holiday time and they can’t wait to get sailing again. Boosting the range of activities during sailings gives them more options and ensures we deliver the best experience.

Newest Star-Ship, Emerald Luna, is due to make its debut in spring 2021, with its itineraries featured in the brochure. The 180-passenger vessel is the ninth in the Emerald Waterways Star-Ship fleet and the eighth to sail European waterways.

Savings of up to £1,000 per couple are available when making Emerald bookings before July 31, 2020, nd other early booking discounts are available.
