MSC Cruises donates thousands of masks to NHS

MSC Cruises has donated thousands of surgical and respiratory masks to medical professionals across Europe, with the latest delivery to NHS workers in Brighton.

The cruise line’s managing director for the UK and Ireland, Antonio Paradiso, dropped off 5,000 surgical masks to Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals Trust on Thursday in the latest donation.

MSC has also delivered the masks to medics in Portugal, Brazil and Switzerland and has sent perishable goods to those in need in China, France and Italy.

Paradiso said “Our NHS heroes across the UK have done an extraordinary job throughout this pandemic and on behalf of everyone at MSC Cruises we want to say thank you for everything you have done.

“We are incredibly grateful to be able to help in even the smallest of ways and hope that this gesture will allow them to safely continue with their amazing, life-saving work.”
