One&Only has postponed the opening of three new properties and closed several other resorts due to the coronavirus crisis.
The luxury hotel brand said it was adhering to the advice of experts such as the World Health Organisation in an “ever-evolving situation”.
Malaysian property One&Only Desaru Coast had been due to open this week but this has been pushed back June 1.
One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro, which had been set to open its doors in July, has a new open date of October 1 and One&Only Mandarina in Mexico will open on November 1, four months later than planned.
The brand also announced that One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico, would close its doors on April 1. No date has been set for when the hotel will reopen.

It joins One&Only Cape Town in South Africa and One&Only Nyungwe House and One&Only Gorilla’s Nest in Rwanda, which have already closed due to travel restrictions.
One&Only Le Saint Geran remains open despite the closure of the Mauritian border to international travellers. One &Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives remains open.
In Dubai, One&Only Royal Mirage’s The Residence and Spa are open, while the Arabian Court and The Palace areas are closed. One&Only The Palm remains open.
Despite restrictions on inter-state travel in Australia and the closure of the country’s international border, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley remains open.
