Coronavirus: G Adventures extends suspension of tours

G Adventures is extending the suspension of all tours until May 31 due to the continuing global coronavirus pandemic.

Only a ‘Norwegian Arctic Encompassed’ trip is due to run on May 29 with no other departures over the next two months.

Customers booked on a tour departing between March 16 and May 31 will receive a 110% travel credit to be used on any tour departing in up to two years.

The operator said: “The health and safety of our travellers and staff is our main priority and this is a necessary measure to protect our travellers and our people at this time.

“Travellers who haven’t yet made their final payment will have their life time deposit kept on file to put towards a future tour.

“G Adventures is proactively notifying all travellers regarding their tour suspension and advising travellers with flight bookings to contact their insurance and air providers directly for details on compensation.

“G Adventures would like to thank its global community of travellers, agents and partners around the world for their commitment in these times of uncertainty.

“We still believe in travel as a force for good and look forward to returning to operations as soon as it is safe.

“Travellers and agents with questions are asked to contact our sales team by telephone or email.”
