Palladium Hotel Group to target agent sales with new BDMs

Palladium Hotel Group has added two business development managers to its UK trade team to develop more sales from travel agents.

Tasha Smith and Kevin Richardson join senior business development manager, Joanne Peters, as dedicated sales representatives in the UK for the Spanish-based hotel group.

They replace Chris Redfern who left Palladium Hotel Group last November.

Previously, Smith was a branch manager at Polka Dot Travel in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Richardson was a homeworker with Hays Travel.

Smith said: “Travel is a huge passion of mine, having worked in the industry for almost 10 years, and I’m excited to be joining such a prestigious brand as Palladium Hotel Group.”

Richardson added: “It’s such an exciting time to be joining Palladium Hotel Group and continue to be part of its phenomenal growth. I attended Palladium Hotel Group’s first ever fam trip to Mexico and I instantly fell in love with the hotels. I knew immediately that it was a brand I wanted to be part of and would be proud to promote.”

The chain celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020 and will launch three hotels later this year in Menorca and Sicily – which will mark the first Grand Palladium resort to open in Italy.

Palladium Hotel Group has 48 hotels in six countries: Spain, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Italy and Brazil.

It operates 10 brands: TRS Hotels, Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts, Palladium Hotels, Palladium Boutique Hotels, Fiesta Hotels & Resorts, Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels, BLESS Collection Hotels, Ayre Hoteles, Only YOU Hotels, as well as licensed brand Hard Rock Hotels in Ibiza and Tenerife.
