Midcounties Co-operative Travel has appointed Harriet Desai as commercial manager.
Desai joins from Royal Caribbean International where she was key account manager. She has previously worked for First Choice and Tui.
Desai will report into head of product and commercial, Mark Mitchell, who joined Midcounties in July last year following Julie Kendrick’s departure.
The five-strong product and commercial team will work across the group’s retail, consortium and homeworking divisions.
Desai will work alongside fellow commercial manager, Ben Lovett, and brand and marketing manager, Katie Blunt.

Mitchell said: “Harriet’s experience, knowledge and drive make her the perfect fit for the team and we are hugely excited to have her on board.
“I now have four excellent colleagues on the commercial team and together we will take the travel division from strength to strength.
“The team’s focus for 2020 is to develop our existing commercial partnership opportunities even further by conducting detailed travel category reviews to identify any potential product overlap or gaps, as well as exploring potential new travel sectors such as DMCs to work with our three trading divisions of retail, consortium and personal travel agents.”
