Shearings Holidays is urging agents to take advantage of ‘Lion King fever’ as Disney’s remake of the classic film is released in cinemas today (July 19).
The tour operator has added marketing materials to its online toolkit for agents to use, including themed window cards, posters, social media assets and a mini-video on its African products.
Jane Atkins, managing director at Shearings Holidays, said: “We all know the power of film and TV in driving interest in a region or destination.
“The Lion King is a hugely popular film and it’s a great hook for agents to use to promote holidays to Africa.
“It will work really well in windows and across social channels, and to make it easy we’ve created a selection of marketing materials for agents to download and use.”
The operator’s 10-day The Maasai Mara & The Serengeti escorted tour offers the chance to spot lions, cheetahs, zebras and giraffes on game drives.
It costs from £3,409 on a twin-share basis and includes flights, eight nights’ accommodation, seven excursions and a tour guide.
