Escorted tour operator Cosmos is urging agents to showcase the range of itineraries it offers in India, with prices starting at less than £600.
Its new ‘India Escape’ holiday costs from £599 per person, tour only, based on the April 16, 2019, departure.
The nine-day tour includes the Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and includes accommodation and VIP access to must-see sights.
Highlights include the Taj Mahal at sunrise, a rickshaw ride through Delhi’s Chandni Chowk bazaar and the Amber Fort.
It is only available to book by phone.
For a flight-inclusive package, the price rises to £1,099 per person, and departure dates are available throughout April and September 2019.
Other tours for 2019 and 2020 include the 13-day ‘Highlights of Northern India’ tour, which includes the palaces of the Jodhpur, and a chance to meet the Bishnoi tribe of Rajasthan.
It costs from £1,606 per person, including flights, home pick-up service and overseas transfers.
Globus – the upmarket sister brand of Cosmos – has an 11-day ‘Icons of India: The Taj, Tigers and Beyond’ tour, from £2,262 per person, with flights and transfers.
It features a private safari to spot Bengal tigers and black sloth bears; a chef-led curry cookery class; and an interactive sari and turban-tying demonstration.
Cosmos also offers clients a new CosmosGO app that has suggestions for entertainment, sightseeing, dining and shopping in each destination.
