Cruisegle's Announcements
-
I bought a new website the other days to attack Holidays 2012 and it is in the top 10 already; just need to add content to it at some point!
-
I think I will let someone advertise on Cruisegle for a daily fee of around £25/£30 a day!

I have had a busy week or two; firstly applied for a job and got an interview with Ideal Cruising (second interview this week). Then I received a few offers for advertising on Cruisegle my website. I have also received two non travel SEO job offers and started a holidays 2012 website!
I have once again changed the terms of attack for Cruisegle from Cheap Cruises to cheap cruises, cruise holidays, last minute cruises, will have to wait on the results of the change.
Anyway all I have to do now is work out what I am going to do!

I have been busy working for other clients recently and as such have not had much time to update my various websites. Anyway I am seriously thinking of leaving the travel industry and selling off my cruise websites as too busy for cruises.
My sites are all test pads so many do not attract visitors however one or two of them get around 85,000 UK visitors a year. They just need tweaking a little and as I said, I am too busy for cruises!

I am splitting myself into two! I am now going to offer Travel SEO from one website and Web Design from another. The travel SEO site will look after my cruise related bits such as Cruisegle my now cheap cruise holidays site while the web design will be offering a new(ish) concept in search engine optimisation.
The new site is called 29p Web Design, from it I intend to offer websites that includes building, hosting, registration and SEO for just 29p a day.

My last update explained that I was changing from Cheap Cruises to Cheap Cruise Holidays as my main keyword even though cheap cruise holidays has less searches a month. However as I thought, it had a positive effect and now Cruisegle ranks 4th in Google for cheap cruises.
The last part of my page title tag has changed three times in the last few days and each term has moved accordingly; either up or down.
Anyone reading this should already know, but if they don't, the title tag is the most important tag in your Travel SEO arsenal.

I am forever playing around with Cruisegle to test out new theories etc, yesterday I changed the focus from Cheap Cruises to Cheap Cruise Holidays.
I know that cheap cruises gets 22,000 searches a month and cheap cruise holidays only gets around 1,000 but there is a reason for trying this out; but I can't tell you what it is!
Anyway it will be interesting to see if yet another theory works, if not I shall revert back to cheap cruises.

Out of the blue someone offered me £8,000 for Cruisegle, alas they need more than that to tempt me...anyone?
-
Just had a forum post deleted, obviously admin thought I was spamming when all I was doing was letting people know that the Google URL shortener is a no brainer for them when it comes to places like Twitter.
I apologise for any over stepping the mark and shall try and refrain from posting in the future as I do not like being seen as someone who is in something for their own gain. If I was I would be rich.

I have set up the short cose for Google using the new Google short code, so in future you may see Cruisegle linked this way - Cheap Cruises.

Will not be around much over the next few weeks as I am optimising a website for a Funeral Director; well actually it is not just any funeral director, it is for the Southern Co-opeative Funeral Care service.
The job involves optimising their main website as well as transfering thirteen other websites of theirs into CMS controlled websites.
Might be able to afford a Turkey leg this Christmas!

I have started a new Youtube channel called Cruisegle, it will eventually show cruise videos, in the mean time the first video shows me being attacked by a maniac!

I often ponder what is the best term to use when creating cruise related websites, my main site uses cheap cruises yet the best term is probably cruise deals. However I feel you need to work out how easy it may be to rank for a certain keyword. Sometimes therefore it is better to go for a lessor but easier keyword.
I have problems with my site largly around it's hosting and domain name. At times, like today, it drops off the first page for no apparent reason, last week it was on Monday, this week Friday.
Anyway I am now wondering should I start again and attack a larger keyword, or should I just leave as it is?
