A weekend at Morano Calabro, one of Italy’s most beautiful historical centers, among the splendid valleys that surround the Pollino Mountains on the border between Calabria and Basilicata. In this area, the historical buildings were renovated with full respect to ancient culture and local traditions, and restored to their original appearance. During the mornings at Morano Calabro we will have breakfast at the feet of the Norman-Swabian Castle, savoring ricotta with berry jam; during the evening we can stroll along the alleys and streets of the town center. During the day, we will enjoy the natural resources of the National Park of Pollino: the rapids of the Lao river promise exciting, difficult rafting opportunities. This is a weekend of adventure and fun: the discovery of a historic, cultural identity of one Calabrese town and the extraordinary nature that surrounds it.
