For the past three decades travel agents have flocked to World Travel Market to receive the latest travel and tourism industry information to help them create the perfect holidays for their customers.
For this year I’m delighted to announce UK agents will be able to achieve Accredited Travel Professional Points for attending WTM 2009.
Agents will receive two points for attending WTM this year and a further point for every conference session they attend.
The Institute for Travel Tourism is also running its Skill Zone Progamme at WTM where agents can earn up to five ATP point a session.
The three Skill Zone sessions are:
1) Selling During A Recession, two ATP Points
2) Maximising Earnings, two ATP Points
3) Dealing With Customers, two ATP Points
This is great news for travel agents, especially as they can earn almost the full number of points they need to remain part of the ATP programme at WTM this year.
I look forward to seeing WTM 2009’s conference sessions packed with agents all earning ATP points.
