MORE 2010 CRUISE CONVENTION PHOTOS
We were lucky to win our visit to Crown Princess at the ACE Cruise convention. I will start with some statistics; she is 951ft long, 3150 passengers max, 1200 crew max, and 112894 gross tons, there are 19 decks in total and 15 passenger decks.
The Crown Princess in my opinion is just beautiful, everything felt fresh and new, even though she was built in 2006. The whole ship looked totally spotless, and everything sparkled. The Crew were so happy and cheerful, we heard it mentioned by several people it must be a great place to work as the crew appeared truly happy to serve and look after us.
We had a great tour round the ship we visited places like the beautiful Atrium with wonderful food outlets serving coffees, alcohol, snakes and sushi. A very large Art Gallery, Casino, a beautiful adults only Spa and Sanctuary which spanned two decks, Wonderful dining venues like Botticelli’s, Michelangelo, Sabatini’s and Horizon Court. A very large Casino, theatre several pools, and loads of bars. One very special thing about the Crown Princess is the Movies under the Stars, which is a very large screen on the deck where they show films and even football on the day we visited as England were playing on the world cup.
For families there are lots of activities for children, aimed at different age groups; 3-7 years, 8-12 years and 13-17 years.

For adults there is a full programme of activities and places to visit, even to get away from the children completely in the adults only pool in the Sanctuary, but I understand this is at an extra cost. Or dine in the exclusive restaurants, either Sabatini’s (Italian restaurant), Crown Grill (steak & seafood) or on your balcony (again at a small extra cost).
Dining you have options again either the usual traditional ships dining where you eat at the same table every night with the same people ( I must admit a personal favourite for us as we have made friends with some people we are still in contact with us years later) or Anytime Dining where you can eat anytime all of the day. But on any of these you still have the alternative of the Horizon court Self service restaurant or the speciality restaurants.
I would think the Crown Princess would appeal to all ages, and all age groups from young couples, families to the more mature passengers. The Princess attitude to pleasing passengers would make any cruise with them a truly memorable experience, where you would want to travel with them time and time again.
