Celebrity Equinox

I have just returned after a fab stay on the Celebrity Equinox. My boyfriend Mike & I were invited by Travel Weekly to take part in the first ever Lawn Croquet tournament onboard a cruise ship. There were 4 teams in total and the Travel Weekly team won... woo hoo!

After a very short practice the competiton began and I think everyone had a really enjoyable afternoon with a little help from the professionals assigned to each team.  We also saw the tv presenters Colin & Justin filming along side the lawn (who of which stole mine & Steph from Travel Weekly's Pimms for filming!) ha ha.

The Equinox ship is very impressive in design & class, with the facilities on board and the extremely warm & friendly staff I was very impressed .  It seems to cater for all tastes and ages.  You do have to get used to the doors, in particular to the toilet facilities.  They all operate electronically and appear constantly locked until you work out that you have to push a button to open, to close & to lock it.  Once you are aware of this however, there is no problem but a few signs would have been easier.

The cabins are very nice. We were lucky enough to stay in an outside balcony cabin which I would definately recommend.  We ate in the Murano Restaurant for dinner and myself and Mike can honestly say it was the best steak we have ever eaten!

I will definately recommend this ship to our cruise clients as well as any first time cruisers.

A huge thank you to Travel Weekly for inviting Mike & myself, we both really enjoyed the experience

Kelly
