Well, apart from the obvious financial benefit to us (our policy offers 33% commission) the benefit for customers is key.

As an agent you know your own policy, you can assist in claims (if neccesary) and give customers that peace of mind to know they are covered for every eventuality.

Its also a service that is offered which sets us aside from the internet option. How many travel policies are available online that when you read the small print your not actually covered! We have had instances of that very recently amoung our customers.

All in all I advise my customers that they would be silly to travel without it and that our policy is the easiest/quickest and best covered option.

Apart from above... it says problems.. we only recently start to provid travel insurance and it has got rid of some problems of uninsured clients blaming us for the costs they have to meet

Before we just refered and advised customers to take insurance

I think its fair to say that Agents NEED to re-establish themselves with Travel Insurance. The extra commission that can be earned whilst the customer is with you must be a good thing. And again sell the benefits of the policy..Ash Cover, Schedule Airline Failure and no age restrictions. Lets get back to earning on this element and STOP moaning about Supermarkets.
