Has anyone had any feedback from their clients about them having to pay for extra leg room seats at Heathrow. Over the past few weeks I've had 2 sets of clients who have checked in at the airport (as they couldn't check-in on-line due to technical issues) only to be told their travel agent hadn't booked their seats, there are no longer 2 seats together, but if they would like to sit together they will have to pay £30 each for the extra legroom seats?

Anyone else had experience of this?

Not with clients, but I travelled in October on my honeymoon with Virgin to Havana, and was asked at Gatwick if I wanted extra leg room seats for £30.00 per person, the offer was then touted again by the cabin crew before the flight took off. I'm not sure that it is an agent issue, probably more of a policy of the entire airline.

This isn't VAA error, it is policy. Bulk head seats/exit seats are sold on the day at £30pp. These can not be pre booked as the airline staff need to ensure the pax are fully fit and able to assist in an emergency. Also VAA pre booked seats are requests and states on the VAA website when booking that they can be moved :)
