Seems like the election is crystallising whether ABTA is an organisation for retailers or suppliers...Broccoli stands for the independent retailer...McEwan for the suppliers/bigger players.....ABTA, as persusual, will sit nicely on the fence
I have known John McEwan since he took over at Advantage and have seen the way that he works and has guided Advantage through the past 5 years. He has clearly shown that he has the ability and strength to bring change to ABTA with integrity and fairness. We will certainly be voting for him because he makes things happen for independent and smaller agents, whilst keeping the tour operators on his side.
I don't know Mr Broccoli and so our choice is based on our knowledge of John McEwan.
