Well with the opening of operators shops on the High Street, independent agents must be sitting back saying good or bad ? Well I have a mixed experience, and it really must be down to the general ethos of the operator owning the shop.

I am pleased to say that we have seen the back of the Virgin Holiday Shop in Clapham Junction. Persoanally with the ethos of referring clients to there web site (just see any Virgin Brochure) I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Poor service and a very bad record, in my opinion of direct discounting. So that would be a big no for them. - I don't think Virgin care about the trade at all.

Kuoni on the other hand, in my opinion, have handled the matter in a completely different way, and they have complimented the local agency's. The shop staff and brochures do not actually hinder agents. In fact a shop have handed a booking back to me. They behave in away that shows they genuinely want to work with the trade. So that would be YES for Kuoni.
