Well its happened to me afew times now...
So im sitting there at my desk, phone is on speaker! The hold tunes are playing ( seems to be the highlight of the day in my office :] ) all of us girls are singing along at our desks, on a quiet day anyway. And ive started to wonder now, and panic has kicked in afew. Oh no...there isnt anyone on the other line that can hear me is there? At this point nobody has picked up my call and im waiting to speak to another agent.
Im i the only one? Lol. Please tell me not.
Definitely not! Thomson are the worst! I am constantly on hold for sometimes up to an hour (6hrs is the record) and they just play an instrumental of good vibrations over and over...flythomascook are pretty bad at answering the phones too!
And yes I do add the words into the instrumental of good vibrations
i'll tell you who has the best waiting music Virgin holidays its brilliant next time you ring them you will understand why I laugh everytime lol

I hate being on hold for ages, the only good part of it is if your on hold to Travel 2 or Premier they have the best hold music for a proper sing song. Not the same tune on repeat for ages!!
I also love ringing Somak, they have the same song over and over again, but it is quite amusing!
the worst one is thomas cook's "elevator music" annoyinnnggg!!!!
natty... The Worse is Thomas Cook's "All our agents are busy please call back....click" have they not heard of an engaged tone. Drives us all mental.

Virgin is one of my faviurites, travel 2 is a good one aswell, always has good songs playing. Thomson is horrible with its lift music, especially admin anyway they take hours to answer.
I love calling through to disney paris aswell, i always get through to florida and i love it :], their accients and their names.. makes my day :P

There is nothing good about being on hold, as i currently am to Thomson Tailor made. I wouldn't mind but ive already spoke to someone and he said "i'll be 2 mins i'm just checking something"... 15 mins ago!!!
The worst has to be Virgin i HATE that woman Valarie or whatevever shes called grrrrr

I hate it when a recorded message comes on after a few minutes and says

It just interrupts the music.

for me this has to be Thomson / First Choice, when they are always so busy in excess of 20 minutes of waiting there is only so much 'good vibrations' you can take!
I get frustrated when I call a company and am greeted with a multitude of options which do not apply to me. Or a voice controlled phone system which has me screaming into the phone only to hear it did not understand me. I just want to talk to a human. Here are a few tricks to use to reach that human quickly.
