News this week that Harvey World Travel has made 80 staff redundant this week has been a further blow to the travel jobs market.

EmilyWe in North Walsham have been directly effected by the HWT closures. I was expecting applications (I will have a vacancy shortly) but it does not seem that the staff are proactive job hunting as the other agency’s I have spoken to have received no calls. In today’s market you really have to get out there and market yourself.
That's strange. I guess it takes a few days to get a good CV together...? Maybe they are assuming other agencies aren't recruiting because of the economy.
Or I spoke to soon, had 4 calls on Saturday
