Is Any one going to the Global Travel Conference in Manchester ?

I'm going for the very first time, and i've been a member for about 7 years. ! There appears to be a lot going on and lot to do and learn.

This will be our 3rd conference, first was Tenerife, second Palma, and now Manchester- not quite the same somehow. Looking forward to going and hopefully finding out what is happening with Triton.

We have learnt not to over book the speed dating with the suppliers as it makes the day very long, especially with such a short conference, and you can always get to see the suppliers that you want, as they are never fully booked up and will be around for the two days.

Just seen the conference agenda. Looks good - I can't wait to here the panel discussion between Virgin , Travel 2 and Cosmos - I can't wait to here Virgin explain why they constantly undercut us on line and leave us with no commission  - I'm up for a good laugh and i've got a funny feeling that is where its going to come from ?

Who is Jeremy Skidmore?

He used to be editor of Travel Weekly! He is a journalist and has a media production company.

Had a brilliant time at the Global conference, my first ever, despite being a member for nearly 8 years. It was great to catch up with so many people. The inspirational speakers were brilliant. I will never be able to walk past a branch of Coffee Republic again, without being jolted into business action. The speed dating session was great, could have done with a morning and afternoon session on that. From that session alone it was great place to do business. Certainly got my mind thinking about how to grow my business and take it that one stage further in 2010 / 2011 . Also speaking to other agents around the bar, it was a great place to pick up best practice advice and share ideas. Looking forward to next years conference already !
