Hi I am wondering if some of you can help me.  I’m new to the travel sector and looking for some insights.

Really I want to understand when are the busiest periods for consumers booking holidays throughout the year?

I appreciate this is a very open question and is no doubt different for niches, especially with sun holidays, winter holidays (ski) and last minute now such a big concern.

However is there a general trend in when the peak booking periods are?

Conversely does this match with operators media & advertising spend ?

Any general info or stats that you can help with would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Hanford

The bussiest times for us is Jan (but i suppose it cant be that busy because im typing this).  It is also very busy in Jun- beg July because people start looking for "CHEEP" in the school breaks.  Its not for any particular type of holidays, but if I hear  "CHEEP All inclusive" one more time, i'm going to screem.

Hope this helps
