The Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA) has lodged a ‘strong protest’ with British Airways over its cancellation of flights as a result of the recent bad weather.
A series of BA flights between Glasgow and Edinburgh and Heathrow were cancelled from Thursday last week until yesterday.
In a letter to BA head of UK and Ireland sales, Richard Tams, Tannahill wrote: “As we have indicated before, there are no alternatives available to us to get passengers to and from Scotland who have either come off or are connecting to your long-haul services.
It seems that agents in Scotland have been having lots of trouble. What are your experiences?
Last Friday was the last time there was residential mail delivery in my neighborhood. I didn't know it would get this bad so I didn't mail my sons' Valentine cards the other day when we had a break in the storm. Now, if the mail doesn't come today they won't be sent out and get there on time. cry While I know it won't break their hearts or anything, it's important to me that they know I think about them. I would go mail them myself as the main streets are in fairly good shape but the snow plows have made a huge snowdrift at the end of the alley where I exit--my garage opens into the alley so I'm stuck here until it gets cleared. And the snow is about 2 feet deep outside my garage door. It's still snowing. My neighbor hired a couple of guys to shovel his drive this morning and now there's another 2-3 inches of snow, like they never touched it.
