After three years working for TC, having been an "A Performer" for all three of those years I have now quit. The reason? Manny Fontenla-Novoa. He paid for the managers to go on conference, he paid for the CSM's to goto Egypt. He took home £2 million this year depsite TC underperforming and dropping out of the FTSE 100 and so clearly didn't meet any of his targets.
What do the A Performers (people who, unlike Manny, actually exceed their targets) get? A £100 gift voucher and a couple of days off. Cheers for that Manny, you are so intent on running this company into the ground that you can't even be bothered to retain your good staff.
It would be good to see a reply from him on here but he won't bother, he's too busy counting his undeserved fortune.
well good luck for the future
I'd be interested to hear who you are working for now and how they compare to Thomas Cook?
i work for co-op travel
Sorry Nattyboox, I did mean PdOffTC Guy.
However, as you now are Thomas Cook you'll have this to look forward to! Lol!
haha opps sorry read it wrong,
well sounds very interesting to work for cooks *excited*
I worked for cooks many moons ago. Was one of their top sellers in the branch and region. I'm not the type to bounce off praise, which is just as well, I felt like a number, no one cared, no thanks, no recognition. I'm unaware how the top sellers schemes work these days but I'm glad I got poached by a rival when I did. I'm still with them now, still love my job and my regional manager, and division leader knows my name!
It is the same with every company! The CEO's always walk away with a good bonus, but remeber its the board and shareholders who decide if they get this! Also Conference is paid for through supplier funding. I work for Thomas Cook and was formally Going Places. It is a great place to work and has become much better since we have Joanna who came from the airline. She cares about the people. I did a brief year at First Choice and i can say they are not much better! Every comapny has good and bad. I hope you continue to have the same success in the future.
