We are flying Heathrow- Toronto with our 2 year old and want to secure the best position on the plane. First or business would be nice but funds won't allow it. Any tips on making the experience easier would be appreciated. We are seasoned travellers but not with our son.

I flew to Florida with my 1 year old last year, depending on who you fly with they can provide things to help, obviously request with the airline for extra legroom so you can have a bit more space we did that with Virgin and got it. Also when taking things through security they will make you taste things.
