I'm embarking on a project at work (we work in Italian Motorail at the minute) to sell tailor made holiday packages to Italy. We'll be working as an agent.
But I'm sooo confused, I don't know how it works to team flights and accommodation that aren't in a package, and still stay legal and safe, and provide protection for customers. We're thinking about joining the Travel Trust Association, but we're not 100% sure if that protects us or the consumer. All will involve flights and accom, maybe car hire or transfers, and possible excursions or tours.
And does this allow us to source flights and accomm direct from airlines and hotels, or from tour operators?
If anyone could explain how a small travel agent can offer this, as well as normal package holidays, and stay legal, insured and still provide 100% consumer protection, I would be so grateful...
