We heard TUI's offical line that 3rd party agents are important to it business plan. But how does that come out in real life.
Earlier this year we suddenly started to get brochure supplies from them out of the blue after 2 years without. Even more surprising is that when we rang agent support they sounded like and acted like they wished to help. Before Thomson stopped dealing with us we where their top agent in town and graded as an AB agent (second highest grade) by there own figures.
6 months later, all change we went out and regrew our TUI business strongly performing against the targets that they gave us. Our reward? It seems we can no longer have brouchures and the call centre is back to being less than helpful. We now do not even have file copy's.
I wondered why Thomson is happy to see it business go elsewhere, and they came back to us. It seems when they where having a bit of trouble it was good to go out and get all the business they can, but when better times look to happen just abandon those that support them.
