This airline has ceased to operate and thousands of passengers' plans have been disrupted or ruined and yet not a word have I found about it in the press - even the travel press - unless I blinked and just missed it. I know Atlasjet have a majoriity holding now and are honouring ticketed CTA passengers' bookings but so far there are too few seats available for them during the peak July/August period. How are N Cyprus specialist agents and tour operators managing to cope with this event?
I have had a few clients affected traveling with this airline to Turkey with Club Med. I would just like to thank Club Med for there total professionalism, the re-protected my clients on to another direct client a day later and the clients holiday is going ahead, although with a minor change. The client did certainly see the benefits of booking with a travel agent and respectable tour operator. ! Well done Club Med another victory !
Hi Pip/Nick,
We have covered this story online. Atlasjet is meant to be taking over the bookings but it sounds like they don’t have availability on the right routes. What is everyone else finding?
Thanks,
Emily
Hi Emily,
You are correct, my clients were initially offered flights via Istanbul, which they really didn't want. (quite a long stop over) . However Club Med were excellent and came up with some direct charter alternatives, a few days later. ! A little inconvenient, but it could have been worse. ! I think passengers with there own bookings will be in for an up-hill struggle.
