Had a customer who called tonight and hung up. I called the number and said, "Hi there, I think we just got cut-off". He replied "Oh, I think I did something silly. I called earlier on today and I've been trying to explain the 'hold' tune to my girlfriend. Can you tell me the name of it"? I had to reply, no I didn't know, but it will now haunt me in my sleep.
Just as well it's Friday, does there happen to be a full moon tonight?
Is the hold tune not different every time a customer calls? I know it can be tough but I suppose you have to be nice to them in case they later want to buy from you. Still, you could have a policy on the phone outgoing message that states the calls should be related to the business.
