As Nick said, there is so much to do, and it all really does depend on your tastes, and how far you want to travel.
But some examples -
In London:
Buckingham Palace
Tower Bridge & Tower of London
London Eye
Houses of Parliament/Big Ben
Madame Tussauds
Tate Modern
V&A Museum, Natural History Museum
Harrods
Hyde Park (& Diana memorial)
Portobello Road
......to name a few.
Outside of London:
White Cliffs of Dover
Warwick Castle
Windsor Castle
The Pennines
Lake District
Cambridge
Other cities like Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol
...and a whole load of other places. It really does depend on you
Great info there - in London I would also include the Wellcome Collection that features (among many other great things) Charles Darwin's totally awesome walking stick!
Thanks for your reply
