Looking to the future of travel with the SPAA
Bookmark and Share

I have just came back from a couple of days back up in Scotland and visiting some of our agents up there and visiting towns that in fairness I hadn’t been to before – so it was quite an experience. At Holidaytaxis.com we have fantastic support from the trade and it was great to touch base with the frontline of travel.  Thursday evening I spent the evening at the SPAA summer ball at Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond – it was a fantastic setting and we had an excellent table of guests who attended.

These events give us an opportunity to say thanks to the people who support us; however I also had an interview with the Future SPAA committee Gayle, Ceri and Emma. The SPAA is one of the oldest travel organisations in existence and has a great heritage, they are also looking to the future which is why the younger agents have a voice and support with the Future SPAA. It is essential that these types of initiatives are supported to ensure that not only in Scotland, that we are encouraging the future travel gurus and entrepreneurs ands perhaps this is an area that other organisations should adopt!

At Holidaytaxis.com we actively encourage new talent coming through and most of our senior management have either worked in retail or as overseas reps or managers at some point in their early careers. It is still a fantastic industry to be in so lets nurture the next wave and protect our future.

Anyway one day at home then up to Newcastle – no point in being in travel if you don’t travel!

Have a great weekend.

Regards

Chris

Thanks so much!  It's great to know that we have continued support from key suppliers - keep an eye on www.spaa.org to read "up close and personal" with Holiday Taxis - these guys are so funny!

Thanks again,

Gayle
