Welcome to my blog on Travel Weekly.
My name is Chris Oakes (well you would know that by now) and I have worked in the travel industry since 1988, working overseas in Greece, Spain, Austria, Italy, Gambia and Tunisia. I moved back to the UK in 1998 and have had the pleasure of working in retail and tour operations for companies such as Airtours (then Mytravel), Comsos, Global and now at Holidaytaxis.com.
This will be a light hearted look at the week, what’s happening in travel in general, comments on hot topics, what’s on the web and really just bit of banter. I hope you enjoy and any comments are welcome.
