Our client is a fast growing, dynamic travel company based in West Yorkshire. They are a young and vibrant organisation and are the fastest growing travel company in the north of England. Due to their impressive expansion plans, they are looking to recruit a Yield Manager to ensure seat sale yield & margin is maximised.
JOB ROLE:
- To understand the company's business and its operation, with particular attention to the product and commercial requirements of the company
- Ongoing analysis of route performance and factors that may have impacted on supply and demand and/or yield, highlighting these to ensure future profit/volume targets of the company are achieved
- To assess and manage the gross margin of each destination by departure point and seasonality taking into account competitor activity
- Constantly monitor future demand of holidays assessing peaks and troughs in load requirements and the revenue they will produce, highlighting areas that may result in seats being unsold or the potential to buy in additional seats where necessary
- Work in close collaboration with the Product, Commercial and Marketing departments to understand sales activity and trends whilst keeping abreast of current affairs that may effect travel decisions
- In conjunction with the Finance department, report to the management on a regular basis the on-going performance of each set of routes where committed seat allocations are in place
- To undertake any other duties and ad hoc project work assigned by the management of the company
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
- Has worked for a Tour Operator, Seat Broker, Hotel or Cruise company managing committed allocations and commercial margins
- Sound knowledge of the Travel Industry
- Effective team player experienced in working with multiple departments but also has the ability to work under their own initiative
- Experience of managing and motivating a team
- Evidence of achieving and exceeding targets
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office
