Position: Regional Solutions Manager
Location: Based in Paris
Salary: Negotiable according to knowledge
Our client is looking for you to contribute to the development, maintenance and evolution of the EMEA solutions portfolio which supplements core products, ensures that the needs of customers are fully satisfied whilst generating new revenue streams for the region through solutions innovation and consultancy. To support, by way of direct participation, all regional sales initiatives which require technical or complex solution design.
General Overview
*The Regional Solutions Manager is required to work within a complex and continuously changing environment with multiple priorities.
*Liaison is required with many areas of the company, particularly Sales, Product Management, Technical, Project Management and Operations.
*The incumbent is required to prioritise demands and make decisions regarding appropriate technology and product strategy.
*The Regional Solutions Manager must have a good understanding of the external environment of the travel industry generally from a technology perspective and a sound knowledge of GDS business in EMEA
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
*French speaker and proficient in English both written and spoken. Any further European languages an advantage.
*Proven track record of developing technical architectures on time and within budget, ideally in a travel systems environment.
*Understanding of database structures.
*Proactive 'can do' attitude.
*Able to think strategically and challenge current technical thinking.
*Excellent customer relationship management skills
*Experience of data manipulation and presentation technologies, preferably in a travel systems environment.
*Proven experience of SOA (Service Orientated Architecture) principles and API's.
*Strong Object Orientated Design experience and capability.
*Good understanding of operating systems.
*Proven understanding of networking technologies.
*Knowledge of competitor's components and solutions and other solution providers in the travel industry.
*Excellent command of verbal and written English and excellent technical presentation skills.
*Ability to multitask and prioritise within a continuously changing environment.
*Able to build and maintain rapport with all levels of the organisation and, where appropriate, manage stakeholders across different cultures.
*Dynamic and self-motivated with high level of energy and enthusiasm
Previous experience of working in an I.T. solutions environment within the travel industry is essential as is the ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of complex I..T. solutions.
