MAIN PURPOSE :

Private Clients is a high end, by invitation only, leisure travel planning and management service within Reed and Mackay. A leader of its prestigious sector and in the top ten of Travel Management and Services Companies in the UK, Reed and Mackay’s performance has been outstanding for nearly 40 years, setting Industry standards for service excellence, developing people, technology, and products to further outdistance the competition.

Following the launch of the service in Autumn 2006, the proposition has grown significantly and is on track to achieve £4m+ within the next 18 months. This is underpinned by continuing to deliver a dedicated personal approach to holiday planning and delivering unique holidays to discerning travellers who prize experience and service as their key satisfaction criteria.

We are looking for an experienced manager to hit the ground running, who possesses an entrepreneurial flair for challenging the traditional ‘leisure’ model, and who is excited by the prospect of delivering a value proposition using R&Ms credibility, market leading position and buying power.

ROLE :

Reporting to the Managing Director you will have full responsibility for the development of the Private Clients business.

Experience of a consultative approach will be essential in order to engage potential new clients from within the existing Reed and Mackay Client base. Working with the Business Travel and Events teams, you will identify new customer groups and develop the right sales strategy to target appropriate prospects within these organisations. Existing relationships with Travel Managers and PA’s are a key link towards new prospects and achieving buy in from these key contacts will help facilitate access to prospective clients.

With a good operational management background in a premium leisure environment combined with excellent client service skills and strong premium product knowledge, you will be capable of motivating and developing the team to support their delivery of a pro-active and inspirational holiday planning and client management service that exceeds all expectations.

Having established the product delivery initially using third party tour operators, the emphasis has now moved toward provision of high end tailor made product using a range of existing DMC relationships who can offer exceptional value and service to our clients. Knowledge and experience of these supplier relationships would be a distinct advantage to help further finesse the provision of bespoke product.

You will continue to maintain high standards across the service delivery area, using your initiative to ensure Private clients maintains areas of clear differentiation from competitors.

• You will be able to show you possess the skills to articulate a sophisticated proposition at the highest level
• Strong capability to develop relationships at all levels within our corporate client base in order develop new Private Client leads.
• Evidenced track record of ability to gain specific results through people – a good coach to your team and to your colleagues, you will identify potential for development within the team and ensure talent is recognised.
• A proven track record of high service delivery and client retention skills – nurtured through both personal involvement and directing teams in the right way to develop strong client loyalty.
• Strong product and supplier knowledge with a clear understanding of how to deliver tailor made solutions using the right suppliers to underpin both value and service for our clients through delivery of exceptional travel experiences worldwide.
• You will have credibility and respect for your professionalism, experienced based you know how to influence Suppliers to deliver opportunities for growth.
