Butlins Redcoats to get university education

Interesting story on Personnel Today about Red Coats at Butlins in Bognor Regis being offered two-year foundation degree places in musical arts/entertainment at the University of Chichester.

This is the type of local initiative which will be enormously useful for Butlins - training and retention can only benefit and they look like a better employer for it.

What a great idea. Its about time universities looked at supporting talented people in a less formal an academic environment.

I agree. This sort of initiative will suit employers in travel and tourism. Education needs to be more flexible around employer needs.
