Wish you were here revived

January 9, 2008

Next Monday 14 Jan at 4.30pm, ITV1 will be kicking off Wish you were here now and then, which will look back at some of the places visited by the original Wish you were here programme. It will also offer a look at holiday destinations for 2008. Judith Chalmers' son, Mark Durden Smith, will be fronting the new show.

To get you in the mood, here is some footage of the original show. I had forgotten about the catchy theme tune.

I was watching Judith on Celebrity Millionaire.
Q. Which of these means many Islands.
1.India. 2 Louissana 3 Polynesia 4 Finland ( Think it was something else but can't remember!)
Judith Didn't have a clue and uhmmd and ahhd until her son replied, "I think Poly means many" Does it? replied Judith.

Nathan Midgley:

Silly Chalmers. Of course it's Polynesia... Finland means 'many saunas'

Martin Couzins:

I like the fact her son only *thought* poly meant many. Am looking forward to his insights on the new show :-)
