Hays Travel appoints new head of cruise

Royal Caribbean strategic account manager Vicky Billing is joining Hays Travel Group as head of cruise.

She takes up the role a the UK’s largest independent agency group on March 6 after five years with the cruise line.

Billing started her career at Thomas Cook where she worked in various roles over 14 years. She then joined MSC Cruises as a sales executive for the north of England before joining Royal Caribbean International.

She started as a regional sales manager before becoming key account manager and most recently strategic account manager for the TCCT Group.

Hays Travel managing director John Hays said: “I’m delighted to welcome Vicky to the team.

“She brings with her a wealth of experience in the cruise market and I’m looking forward to her helping to develop our cruise sales further.”

Billing said: “The opportunity for growth within the cruise sector is undeniable and having worked closely with Hays Travel over my 18 years in the travel industry I am very excited to be taking Hays Travel on this journey.

“Over the years I have built a wealth of knowledge and developed strong relationships within the industry and I am very much looking forward to developing these further with all cruise lines.

Royal Caribbean UK and Ireland managing director Ben Bouldin said: “Vicky has been an integral member of our sales team over the past five years and we are grateful for her contribution to our team.

“We wish her all the best and look forward to working with her as a supplier while further strengthening our relationship with Hays Travel Group.”
