WTM 2016: Brand USA unveils enhanced trade activity

Brand USA has unveiled enhancements to its online training programme, including five new training modules and an incentive for UK agents to win flights to the US with American Airlines and British Airways.

The destination marketing organisation for the US is exhibiting at WTM in London this week, where it announced the incentive and also revealed a new dot com version of its USA Discovery Program website for agents operating in global markets without Brand USA offices.

Plans are also in place for an online USA Tool Kit to provide travel professionals with imagery, travel information tips and itinerary suggestions. The kit is due to launch next month.

Thomas Garzilli, Brand USA chief marketing officer, said: “The USA Discovery Program continues to inspire agents across the globe and our aim is to provide them with the knowledge they need to sell the USA as a premier holiday destination.

“Our goal is to deliver as much easy-to-access information to agents as possible to assist them in driving more bookings to the United States on our behalf and to enable us to reach our goal of 100 million visitors to the USA by 2021.”

The five new training modules will focus on Enterprise Holdings, Florida’s Paradise Coast (including Naples, Marco Island, Everglades), North Dakota Department of Commerce, Texas Tourism and Universal Studios Hollywood.
