Hoseasons’ parent company buys Blue Chip Holidays

Hoseasons’ parent Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK has acquired cottage and luxury lodge agency Blue Chip Holidays for an undisclosed figure.

Blue Chip offers more than 1,100 rental properties. The deal extends Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK portfolio, particularly across the south west of England, to more than 42,000 properties.

Blue Chip managing director Allan Lambert will remain in place and the business will continue to operator from its Exeter base.

Wyndam Vacation Rentals UK managing director Geoff Cowley said: “I am delighted to welcome Allan and his team to WVR UK and the Wyndham Family.”

He added: “Blue Chip Holidays has a great range of high-quality properties in key honeypot locations that complement our existing portfolio, so it’s a great brand to have on board. Our focus now will be on continuing to provide breaks for Blue Chip customers and great service for our owner partners.”

Lambert, who previously worked for Bourne Leisure, added: “The existing management team are entirely focused on growing Blue Chip Holidays into the leading, premium provider of self-catering holidays in the UK.

“Becoming part of Wyndham Worldwide will enable us to go on innovating our holiday product with all stakeholders, including our team, our guests and our home or resort owners.”

Other brands in the WVR UK portfolio include English Country Cottages, Salcombe & Dartmouth Holiday Homes, Cumbrian Cottages, Welcome Cottages, as well as cottages.com, Hoseasons, and James Villa Holidays.
