Insight Vacations has partnered with Travel 2 to sell its luxury tours exclusively through independent agents.
Travel 2’s Luxury Touring programme will feature tours from Insight’s Luxury Gold range, with a specially produced brochure landing on agents’ desks this week.
Insight said the move would help it increase sales through specialist agents while Travel 2 would benefit from more luxury product in a growing market.
It comes after Travel 2 reported 100% growth in sales to the Indian Ocean and India, and 50% growth in escorted tours to Central America.
Travel 2 can add flights, and pre and post-tour hotels or cruises to the Insight range. Agents will earn the same commission rates.
Independent agents could also win a two-night five-star mini break in the UK by booking a Luxury Touring holiday between now and February 28.
Gordon McCreadie, sales and marketing director at Gold Medal and Travel 2, said: “It’s the first time we’ve had a standalone brochure for luxury touring. A lot of customers aren’t happy to just lie on a beach, and those with a bit more disposable income are looking for a bit of wow factor.
“The new product being sold exclusively with us means our agents selling Luxury Touring will be armed with more options and the most competitive pricing to pass on to their customers.”
Insight Vacations sales director Paul Melinis added: “It’s the perfect synergy. They have a fantastic relationship with independents and a lot of brand presence, and it will help us reach more customers.”
The brochure includes 38 tours, of which 15 are new luxury itineraries, plus nine new countries and two new continents.
