Cyclone warning issued for the Caribbean

A tropical cyclone warning has been issued for popular Caribbean holiday islands.

The alert covers Barbados, Saint Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office updated its travel advice due to a weather system developing in the Atlantic, warning this “is likely to become a tropical cyclone and may bring hazardous sea and weather conditions” today (Wednesday).

“You should monitor updates from the US National Hurricane Centre and follow the instructions of the local authorities, including any evacuation orders.”
