Tap Air Portugal boosts Gatwick services

Tap Air Portugal is to increase services from Gatwick to Porto and Lisbon in the winter.

Two additional frequencies will bring the Porto service up to 14 flights a week.

The Lisbon route will expand from seven to 12 flights a week from the start of the winter timetable on October 30.

The extra capacity will bring the airline’s winter schedule up to a 71 direct weekly flights to Portugal from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester.

The airline is also increasing services from Lisbon to Ponta Delgada in the Azores, which will double to two flights a day.

There will also be increases from Lisbon to Miami, Boston, New York, JFK, Cape Verde Dakar and Luanda.

TAP’s network in Africa is also set for growth, with further services operating from Lisbon, to destinations in Cabo Verde. These destinations will increase their weekly flights as follows: Praia up to 11, Sal up to 8 and São Vicente 4.

Also in Africa, TAP will increase from 7 to 10 weekly flights to Dakar, Senegal, and will introduce night flights both from Lisbon to Luanda and from Luanda to Lisbon every day for the first time.
