Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa in Malaysian Borneo has launched a new ‘adventuremoon’ package.
The aim is to offer newlyweds who like an adrenaline-packed honeymoon the chance to have it while enjoying some five star luxury.
The package invites honeymooners to explore the sights and sounds of Borneo’s jungle coastline through an array of adventurous activities such as trekking, horse-riding, paddle boarding, and cycling.
Couples will have a chance to interact with nature on a river cruise, exploring the Bornean mangroves and spotting the peculiar indigenous primates, the proboscis monkey, in their natural habitat.
Newlyweds will also trek 90 metres above sea level for a champagne breakfast with a view overlooking the highest mountain in the Malay Archipelago, Mount Kinabalu.
Other activities include a sunset river cruise on the Mengkabong River, kayaking to a private honeymoon cove, and paddle boarding on the calm waters of Pantai Dalit beach.
During quieter moments newlyweds can enjoy a daily bath menu, couples massages in the beach cabana and countless opportunities to soak in their own oversize bathtub on their private balcony, exclusive to their Ocean Wing Premier Room.
Also launching from September 1 are the Elevated Ocean Wing Experience benefits which include; adults-only nightly drinks and canapes at the Ocean Wing courtyard and complimentary breakfast in bed or at onsite restaurant Oceano (reserved for Ocean Wing occupants at breakfast).
Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort & Spa is located along the three kilometre Pantai Dalit beach within 400 acres of land framed by two mangrove lined rivers.. The resort has two wings, the Garden Wing and the Ocean Wing and has of seven room categories and 499 rooms with eight Executive Suites and two Specialty Suites.
The ‘adventuremoon’ package is £2,020 for two adults sharing and includes seven nights’ accommodation in an Ocean Wing Premier Room on a bed and breakfast basis, one Champagne breakfast with a jungle view trek, one proboscis monkey river cruise, one sunset cruise, one beach cabana couples massage, one horseback riding trip and one day’s paddle boarding rental.
