Travel Convention airfare discount extended to August 18

Etihad Airways has extended its deadline for ‘early bird’ discounted airfares to October’s Travel Convention in Abu Dhabi by a month as Abta highlights the chance to tour Abu Dhabi’s new cruise terminal ahead of the Convention.

The airline is offering reduced fares to and from Abu Dhabi in business and economy class for bookings up to August 18.

Fares are available between October 1 and October 20 to allow Convention delegates to stay longer in the city if they wish. Economy return flights are available from just £320 including taxes.

The extension to the discount, which had been due to end on Monday of this week, came as Abta unveiled a Convention delegates’ tour of Abu Dhabi and its new cruise terminal on the morning of October 10.

The tour will be hosted by the Abu Dhabi Ports Company and include senior representatives of Etihad, which has installed check-in facilities at the terminal, Celebrity Cruises and MSC Cruises.

Jo Rzymowska, Celebrity Cruises managing director for the UK, Ireland and Asia-Pacific, said: “We’re delighted to find a new home in the stunning Abu Dhabi Cruise Port. It’s fantastic to see such investment in our sector.

“The state-of-the-art terminal will open a whole new world of fly-cruise experiences from November, starting with our Arabian Night and Indian Sea itineraries.”
