Virgin Atlantic appoints UK sales vice president

Emma Jones has been named as UK sales vice president for Virgin Atlantic.

She joins from Ernst & Young in August and has previously worked for British Airways and HRG.

Jones and will be responsible for the airline’s UK sales and revenue performance, with direct accountability for all UK corporate and agency sales, working with joint venture partner Delta Air Lines.

Global sales and distribution senior vice president Joe Thompson said: “Emma brings 20 years of highly-relevant travel experience to the team and has great insights into the complex dynamics of airline sales.

“Emma will play a critical part in delivering our revenue growth ambitions, as we continue to leverage the customer benefits of our joint venture with Delta and prepare to launch new transatlantic services from Manchester.”

Jones said: “I’ve admired Virgin Atlantic for a number of years and am looking forward to taking on this pivotal role within the company to build upon its success.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such a strong sales team, building on Virgin Atlantic’s already strong trade, corporate and industry body relationships to drive profitable growth.”
